Ulta Haul!!!

Hellooo everyone!!!! I got my order from www.Ulta.com! I had to order because there aren't any Ulta stores near me sooo I was really excited. I got my order 2 days ago but I waited to open it because my friend was staying with me and I wanted to spend time with her but anyways so I did swatch the UD shadows and the NYX lipstick but I am going to swatch the UD skull Palette and the UD Naked Palette in other posts just so that it doesn't get too confusing or long. Ulta.com is having a sale right now. If you enter the code 48173 you can get 20% off of select items which is really cool. I bought my stuff before the sale so gah D: lol. But you can still take advantage of that! So here are the UD single shadows:
From Left to Right- Midnight Cowboy, Half Baked, Gash, and Acid Rain
anddd.... here are the swatches!
From Left to Right- Gash, Midnight Cowboy, Acid Rain, Half Baked, and NYX lipstick in Black Cherry
So on the site it says that they would send Midnight Cowboy Rides Again but they sent Midnight Cowboy instead which was kind of a relief because MCRA has a lot more glitter. There was another reviewer on the site saying she got Midnight Cowboy too so I'm guessing if you order you will too. I'm really happy with my order. The shadows are very nicely pigmented. If you are familiar with Urban Decay shadows you will know that they are usually very glittery and if you like that then you will love these.
Here are the Prices from the Ulta Website:
2pc Full Size Eyeshadow Set --

Gash & Half Baked -- $19.00
Acid Rain & Midnight Cowboy Rides Again -- $19.00

NYX Round Case Lipstick -- $3.59
I will be posting swatches of the skull palette and the naked palette later on so Stayyy Tuneddd! xoxox

A review on E.L.F. brushes!!

HelloOo xD!! I'm doing a little review on a few of the E.L.F. brushes that I have. I have had these for about a year and a half now so I have used these a lot. Overall ( to save you the trouble of reading the rest haha) I love these brushes. You can order them off of http://www.eyeslipsface.com/. The black brushes are from the studio line and they are $3.00 each which is an amazingggg price! Seriously, I have searched and searched and I have not found a better deal. The white brushes are $1.00.
Studio Brushes:
The Powder Brush: I cannot tell you just how much I love this brush. It is siiiick! My friend kept raving about it and all the gurus were talking about it for I got 4 of them (haha I always go overboard) and I love them. It is a flat top brush with a sleek black handle. The brissles are super soft and it is great for packing on color, blending out stuff on your face, etc. I even use it for liquid foundation even though it is a powder brush. It is awesome for that. It's a good brush if you're looking for a lot of coverage because flat top brushes pack on color. I use it for blush and bronzer too. It is very versitile and it's a great price! It doesn't shed or anything either so that's great!
The Complexion Brush: I have to admit, in the beginning I had no idea what to do with this brush. It's supposed to be used for pressed/loose powder, blush, and/or bronzer. I tried using it for pressed powder and it didn't give me the coverage I was looking for just because the brissles aren't closely packed for that purpose but if you like a light amount then it is for you! So anyways, I ended up throwing it in my drawer along with the other lonely and poor souls which I have neglected for a couple of months. Then I decided to give it another chance and I used it with blush and I fell in love. I found its purpose for me! I don't like my blush to be too bright. I just like a sheer amount of blush on my cheeks and this was just amazing! I could take a red as hell blush and this brush could make it wearable! I love this.
The Blush Brush: I used this brush for blush for a long time and it is great for blush. It picks up a lot of product and distributes it very nicely. The brissles are very soft and closely packed so it does apply blush in a way that shows it to be very pigmented. At the moment I am using it for contour actually. Now that my complexion brush has taken over this one's job! I would recommend this but if you had to only get one E.L.F. brush, get the powder one.
The Eyeshadow "C" Brush: I love this brush. If you see everyone's eyes popping out and their mouths watering when they are describing this brush it is because of its mere incredibility. Is that even a word? Anyways, that was a bit over-exaggerated but you get me. Soft brissles, picks up color, packs on color, great size for the lid, and just plain awesome.
The Concealer Brush: I'm not too crazy about this brush. I would not recommend this. It is a bit, I wanna say flimsy but I don't think that is the right word. Hmmm... I guess floppy? It's a bit thin for a concealer brush. I tried using it with my Mac studio fix concealer and it just doesn't pick up product nicely or distribute it at that. I'm just not into this. I wouldn't tell you to buy this.

Regular Line Brushes:
Professional Blending Eye Brush: This brush is sooo worth it. It's a dollar but you definitly get more than you pay for. The brissles are soft, it blends beautifully, and it does not shed.
Professional Eye Shadow Brush: I like this. I'm sorry I know I keep saying "I like this. I like that." but I do and trust me you will too. This is soft also. I am actually using it for something else at the moment. It is not as good as the studio eyeshadow "C" brush but it is cheaper too so that balances it out. This is a very good brush though. Don't get turned off by it. It would be a good brush for highlighting!
Professional Lip Defining Brush: Mine actually came broken. The metal part was separated from the stick thing but it's okay. I taped it together lol. I wouldn't recommend this just because it's nothing special. If you have another lip brush stick to that one. If you are a beginner and just starting out then try this out.
Total Face Brush: I hate this. Whenever you see an E.L.F. face brush with red brissles just run away. It is rough and crappy. Just run away.

THANKS FOR READING!! <3

Drugstore Haul!!

Hey guys! So, for us high-end girls, drugstore products are a big neglected. Are they not? But I have acne prone skin and I love my drugstore foundations, concealers, and powders. I bought these with my best friend Alexandra who just left my house a few minutes ago (sad face). But anyways, so I'm going to list everything with the prices. I bought these from Walmart. Sorry for the glare but the colors and everything are accurate so don't worry about that.
Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer --> $6.48
Rimmel London Stay Matte Skinpure Complex Clarifying Matte Foundation --> $5.97
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder Maybelline Dream Matte Powder --> $6.96
CoverGirl Invisible Concealer --> $5.99
Physicians Formula Mineral Foundation --> $11.99
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Bordeaux--> 5.29 (I got this from CVS the night before along with the shadow below)
Rimmel Glam'Eyes Mono Eye Shadow in Spicy Bronze --> 3.99

I was only going to get foundations and basic stuff but the lipstick was just so amazing. I love dark colors which many people don't but I do and it was the most amazing plummy red color. These lipsticks are great. I would definitly recommend them! They are so creamy and moisterizing. They also go on very smooth and are very pigmented. Here's a swatch:

I also wasn't going to get an eyeshadow but this looked like a bit of a dupe for Estee Lauder's signature shadow in Cinnamon which I was going to get another of but this just seemed like a better alternative. I mean they aren't identicle or anything. Heres a pic of them both together:

Spicy Bronze has a bit more bronze to it than Cinnamon does. But I would seriously rather pay 4 dollars than 20 you get me???

So anyways thanks for reading!

Randomness/Stuff to come!

Hey guys! Sooo after a horrible day I get home and the most amazing thing happens. My Ulta order arrived. After days of staring at the screen, wondering when it will arrive, it was just there. Right in front of me. I am going to be doing a lot of posts later on in the week because a lot of my orders are arriving in this week so expect thoseee. I ordered a lot of Urban Decay stuff off of Hautelook (http://www.hautelook.com/) while they were having their UD sale. I think the sale is still going on actually. One thing that pissed me off with Ulta was I also ordered the Urban Decay Wallpaper palette and it was in stock and everything so I put it in my cart and paid for it and everything. Then a couple days later I check the order and I see my order magically got 20 dollars cheaper and I see they snatched it from my order. So I sent customer service a message and they didn't answer me or anything but whatever. I'm just really excited that my order is here! I've been considering ordering from e.l.f. (http://www.eyeslipsface.com/) which I haven't done in a loooong time! If you guys have any requests please let me know! I love requests! I am going to be posting reviews on my e.l.f. brushes, a what's in my makeup bag, and doing a lot of other stuff. My best friend is coming from Los Angeles to see me! We are both makeup fiends so I will be buying a lot of pretty things that I don't need lol. Anyway sorry for rambling! Stayyy tuned!!! xoxoxo

Hard Candy Haul/Review!

Hey guys! So I have another haul! I was at Walmart and I had wanted to try out some stuff from Hard Candy sooo here’s a list of the things I picked up:

The Ginormous Lash volumizing mascara -- $6.00

The So Baked Bronzer in hula hula -- $9.00

The Blush Crush Baked Blush in bombshell -- $7.00

The Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duo in rock n roll -- $6.00
Hula hula

Bombshell

rock n roll

Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara
Mini review: Firstly, aren’t the names adorable? The Kal-eye-descope? Cute! I wasn’t too crazy about the mascara. It made my lashes look longer and the wand was cool but it didn’t thicken or curl. I have a lot of mascaras that are better than this so I’m going to stick with using those. Plus the second a bit of water touched my face I looked like a bat. I love the packaging on all the products. I think they’re super cute and make other drug store products look dull in comparison! I used the bronzer to contour and I would definitely buy it again if I ever run out. The bronzer and the blush both have some orangey tones to them which I usually don’t like but these two are so wearable and look natural on the skin. The blush is very pigmented and the color is a bronzey brown with pink veining. The eye shadow is not as pigmented as I expected but still has a pretty decent color payoff. Thank you to Princess Feef for giving advice on my lighting situation. I went out in the sun to take these pics and I got a bit burned lol but the sunlight definitely helped with capturing the swatches!

Mac Haul!

Hey guys! Wusuuuuuup!!! So today I went to the mall and I promised myself I wouldn't go into Mac because I've been spending money like crazyyy but I did and because of my crappy/ nonexistent willpower when it comes to makeup I got 2 lipsticks and 1 eye shadow from them. But that's still not bad, right?

The first lipstick is Captive which is a Satin lipstick. On the website it is described as a pinkish plum color. (I was going to upload pictures of the tubes of lipstick but the colors turned out looking differently than they do in reality so I just posted the swatches which look pretty accurate!)
The second lipstick I got is in the color Del Rio which is also a Satin lipstick. I really like the texture of those. It is just a muted plum brown. I also see a bit of peach put into the mix.

Little Review:

The lipsticks are very creamy and nice. Even if the colors aren't what you are personally looking for, the quality is awesome. I also like the price because compared to other high end brands, 14.50 seems pretty good to me. I also like the smell. I grew up watching my mom put on Mac lipstick so I love Mac just in general but their lipsticks and shadows really do speak for themselves.

And lastly, the shadow I got is in the color Greensmoke. It is this really pretty metallic green with silver sparkles. I actually thought it would be darker or more pigmented when I bought it. In actuality the name is pretty self explanatory. It ended up being the prettiest smoky green. I love those shadows where you just put it on your lid with a brush and it looks like you spent hours blending it out when, in reality, you only spent 5 minutes. This is one of those shadows. I recommend trying it if you want to try out colors but don't want to go out there too bold.

Overall: LOVE IT!

Review: Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation

Hey guys! So today I will be reviewing the MAKE UP FOR EVER Duo Mat Powder Foundation. I have included a picture below.

So let me just say that with foundations, everyone's skin is different and reacts to things differently so just because something broke me out doesn't mean it will break you out or anything. The thing with this foundation is I both love and hate it. I love the coverage and the smooth application. I love not having to put a liquid foundation on my face because I have oily skin so I really like matte powders instead. I also have acne so the coverage on this is perfect for me. My only problem with this is it breaks me out. I'm a teenager so most things break me out but this just does not help me out in that department. If you have nice skin I would recommend the HD Invisible Cover Foundation instead just because it is more lightweight and has less coverage. This is on the pricey side. It costs 32 dollars on www.sephora.com. I am using shade 200. I like the shade selection. That's also a plus.

Despite the fact that it breaks me out, I still use it almost religously. I have hit pan and I have bought back-ups. Overall I would recommend it but if you already have a foundation that works for you then I would say stick with that but this is worth a go if you're into powder foundations.

Review: NARS Surabaya Duo Eye Shadow

NARS is one of my favorite high end brands! Their shadows are highly pigmented and the colors are very unique but they are a bit pricey. So here is my full evaluation:

Price: the price is a bit steep. Their duo eye shadows cost 32 dollars on www.narscosmetics.com and www.sephora.com.

Quality: NARS definitely makes up for their pricing with quality. The shadows are extremely pigmented and have a nice smooth texture.

Color: the first color in the Surabaya duo is a chestnut brown. The second color is a more burgundy brown color. I have included pictures and swatches! The colors are very unique and I think they would compliment green eyes best. I have brown eyes and I still love my duo!

Packaging: Okay so I have dropped this a couple of times but it is still fully intact. If you are unfamiliar with the brand, NARS packaging is usually sleek, rubbery, and black with the NARS logo somewhere on it. I love the packaging personally. I think it is very chic and stylish. I wouldn't hold back on pulling it out in front of others because of weird or cheap looking packaging. A problem I think everyone has with this is it gets dirty very easily because of the rubbery texture but I can live with that.

Overall rating: 4.5/5 -.5 because of the price :)
